Valve Materials of Construction - Metals

This first part of a 2-part series on valve materials of construction will introduce engineers and purchasers to common metals used in the construction of pressure containing, controlling, and trims used in valves for various production and process industries. Particular attention will be given to mechanical and corrosion-resistant properties and acceptance within common piping codes and standards such as ASME B31.1 (power piping), ASME B31.3 (process piping) and ASME B16.34 (valves). NACE RP compliance and the latest thermal spray coating processes will be discussed.
